Week 2 of the Super Soccer League!

This past week, we entered the second week of the league but the full first week of the season. We were able to watch matches form all divisions and conferences.

March 18, 2025

• Doradus FC (3) vs. Blazers FC (3)
  Loisdale Park
  A thrilling six-goal encounter saw Doradus FC and Blazers FC battle to a 3-3 draw, leaving both teams with a share of the points. Doradus showing early dominances, but Blazers locked in and with a late goal, they tied the game.

March 19, 2025

• Esperion FC (0) vs. North Stars (1)
  Bryant High School
  A defensive showdown ended with North Stars edging out Esperion FC with a single goal to take the win.

March 20, 2025

• Los Toros (2) vs. Alexandria United (1)
  Langston Hughes Middle School
  Los Toros claimed a 2-1 victory over Alexandria United in a closely fought contest. A repeat of their match up in the MDV Cup this past winter. Toros were without their lead man, Jack Stone, but where able to get the job done.

March 23, 2025 – Milford Mill Academy Action

• Team United (2) vs. Das Bierhalle FC (4)
  A strong attacking display from Das Bierhalle FC saw them claim a 4-2 victory over Team United.

• Peru United (2) vs. Baltimore City FC (2)
  Peru shocks Baltimore City, who early on was in control. A competitive matchup ended in a hard-fought 2-2 draw, with both teams unable to find a late winner.

• Touch Kings FC (5) vs. NPC Futbol (1)
  Touch Kings FC dominated the match, cruising to a 5-1 victory over NPC Futbol.

• Steel Pulse (4) vs. A3 Highlanders (2)
  Steel Pulse put in a commanding performance to take a 4-2 win over A3 Highlanders.

March 23, 2025 – Evening Showdowns

• Bowleys Athletic (1) vs. Ambit10n FC (0)
  Eastern Regional Park
  Bowleys Athletic edged out Ambit10n FC in a narrow 1-0 victory.

• Ittihad FC (3) vs. MSI PRO (4)
  Hammond High School
  A dramatic seven-goal thriller saw MSI PRO emerge victorious in a 4-3 battle against Ittihad FC. MSI Pro’s keep was named the hero, as he kept out a questionably awarded pk in the late stages to win the game.

Standout Performers

• Touch Kings FC’s Dominance: Their 5-1 win over NPC Futbol was the most commanding performance of the weekend.

• Goal Fest Between Ittihad FC & MSI PRO: The highest-scoring match of the week saw MSI PRO edge out Ittihad FC in a seven-goal battle.

• Division One Freshmen: Something to look out for are the division one freshman. For Virginia, Esperion push North Star on their debut. As for Maryland, Bowleys and Ambit10n are top class. Ambit10n defeated Baltimore Kickers last week and played Bolweys, the darlings of the state cups, to a 1-0 game.
